After fourteen years, one would think that The Amazing Race has been to just about every interesting locale there nicole kidman baby sling is, but the show perseveres with its loyal if not huge audience. And while CBS continues to enjoy a huge advantage in the Nielsen race, TAR gives the network something it lacks otherwise: guaranteed Emmy bait every year.

Desperate Housewives: Mama Spent Money When She Had None

The financial crisis hit Wisteria Lane this week: the Scavos had to sell Toms car and accept an investment from Bree; Mike funbrain math had to work extra shifts to help take care of his son; Susan had to get a new job with regular hours to help pay for MJs tuition; and the show had to resort to ad placement (Sprint, Lexus) to make ends meet! And since its Desperate Housewive we are talking about here, the financial crisis was tackled with humor and some bitchiness.
